General

What do I need to be able to use 14Dayz?
Since 14Dayz is a hosted online service all you need is a computer or mobile device with an internet connection and a web browser.
What can you tell me about password security?

14Dayz does not give out information about its security policies. Proper password etiquette is a vital link in the security chain and needs to be implemented by the end user. For example: It is unwise to use the same password for more than one system or service. Yet most people knowingly make this mistake. i.e. if an attacker learns their LinkedIn password, he can often also access his victim's Facebook with the same password. Protection against this kind of security issues can only be done by the user itself.

Another common security mistake is to use a birthday or a name of a child or spouse as a password. While this may pass password security policies, it is still a very unsafe password as it can be easily guessed by an attacker.

What if I find out later I chose the wrong plan?
No need to worry, you can change your plan to fit your needs ad any time. You can upgrade or even downgrade your account by going to the License chapter in 14Dayz and selecting a different plan.
What if I have a complaint about payments?
Please tell us immediately by sending an email to support@14dayz.com. We want to work with you to resolve your complaints adamantly and quickly. However if you would feel we do not live up to our end of the bargain you can use the PayPal payment resolution service.
What about refunds?

No refunds shall be given towards any plan. When you change your plan you'll be charged according to the new plan you chose in the next billing cycle.

Because there is no contract and you pay monthly in advance, we cannot give you any refunds on a plan already paid. This is clearly explained in our refund policy, which you indicated to agreed with when you first signed up.

Do I need to enter my credit card details to sign up?
You need a PayPal account to sign up for any paid plan. You do not need PayPal to apply for the free 14Dayz plan, and again it is completely free, so you don't need a credit card either.
Will I have to pay extra to upgrade half-way through the billing cycle?
No, be our guest. You will be charged for the new plan only at the next billing cycle.
Why do I need a PayPal account to get the free trial period on my paid plan?
If you already have a Free Plan and you want to upgrade to a Paid Plan now, you will start immediately with paying this new chosen Plan. After all, you've already had a trial period. We use PayPal to handle our subscriptions and online payments. Don't worry, PayPal knows about your one month free trial period too. Your billing cycle will start at the end of your evaluation period.
Do I need to sign a contract or an agreement? Am I locked in for a year?
14Dayz plans are billed on a monthly basis. There is nothing to sign and you can cancel at any time. Just go to the License page in your 14Dayz account and press cancel. Your account is dropped and you won't be charged anymore.
What if I don't like it after I signed up?
Your billing cycle will start at the end of your evaluation period, if you cancel before the end of your free trial period, you will not be billed.

PayPal

Do I have to use PayPal to create my free plan?
You need a PayPal account to sign up for any paid plan. You do not need PayPal to apply for the free 14Dayz plan, and again it is completely free, so you don't need a credit card either.
Why do I need a PayPal account to get my free period of trial on a paid plan? What if I don't like it?
We use PayPal to handle our subscriptions and online payments. Don't worry, PayPal knows about your one month free trial period too. Your billing cycle will start at the end of your evaluation period. Cancel before the end of your free trial and you will not be billed.
Are you associated with PayPal in any way?
Nope, we only use PayPal as our payment provider.
We have no PayPal account. Can we pay 14Dayz otherwise?
The whole system of 14Dayz is based on monthly payment trough PayPal. However we will make one exception. The one form of direct payment that we do have is paying for a year in advance by international bank payment. The only thing is you will lose the ability to cancel ad any time. If you cancel half way through the year, you will not receive any refund. When you want to use this option please send an email to support@14dayz.com.
How can I change my credit card within PayPal?

You will want to change your credit card information within PayPal. You therefor first have to add your new credit card to your PayPal account. Go within your PayPal account to "Profile" > add or remove card. Then set that credit card as your primary card. After that you can withdraw your old card from PayPal.

ATTENTION

When changing a credit card, always make sure to FIRST ADD THE NEW CARD BEFORE REMOVING the old card.

My 14Dayz plan has been stopped by PayPal because my credit card has expired. What do I have to do?

First of all, your data are safe, all you need to do is to reconnect to the 14Dayz plan you already had. To begin with you have to add your new credit card details to your PayPal account. Within your PayPal account go to "Profile" and to “add or remove card”. Then set the new credit card as your primary card. After that you can withdraw your old card from PayPal.

Now you are able to reconnect PayPal to your 14Dayz plan: Log in to your 14Dayz account. You'll be taken to the license page. Click the subscribe button below the plan you already had. You'll be now taken to PayPal.

Log in using your PayPal account with the new credit card details. Confirm the subscription. You'll be taken back to your 14Dayz account and everything should be working fine.

How can I change my PayPal account?

For instance you originally signed up for a 14Dayz account and had the payment linked to your personal PayPal account. You like the service so much that you want to continue to use it, but you want to switch the payment source over to your company PayPal account.

Here are the instructions to change the PayPal account used for 14Dayz:

    First: Cancel the PayPal payment with the old account.
  1. Make sure you have the new PayPal account set up properly and activated.
  2. Log into PayPal using the OLD PayPal account, the one you wish to STOP USING to pay for 14Dayz.
  3. Go into account history and find the latest Payment To Brains4All and click on [Details]
  4. This will take you to the Transaction Details, you will see on the screen something like: Subscription Payment Sent (Unique Transaction ID #7P8952298A162990M) In reference to: [ S-6VU74251X04360720 ] Business Name: Brains4All Email:paypal@brains4all.com or jamr@brains4all.com
  5. Click on the number behind " In reference to: "
  6. You will now see the Subscription Details on your screen. It will include payment method details, etc.
  7. At the bottom of the screen are three buttons, find and click the one marked [ Cancel Subscription ]
  8. You'll be taken to the Cancel Subscription screen, confirm by clicking the [ Cancel Subscription ] button again.
  9. Your payment for 14Dayz with this PayPal account will now be cancelled. Log out of PayPal by clicking [log out] at the top of the screen.
  10. Second: Set up payment with the new PayPal account.
  11. Now log into your 14Dayz account.
  12. You will be taken to the license page, choose your Plan and click on [ subscribe ]
  13. This will take you to the PayPal login screen, log in using the NEW PayPal account.
  14. Confirm your subscription to the 14Dayz plan.
  15. You'll be taken back to your 14Dayz account which should be fully operating again and payment should now be done using the new PayPal account.
  16. Enjoy your 14Dayz time tracking.
How can I see my PayPal payment history?
The history of payments can be found on the website of PayPal. Just log in to PayPal and check under the History tab. This will also show you the first upcoming payment. Find your payment to Brains4All and click on details. Then click on the Subscription number. This page should show you the next date of payment.
How do I receive my monthly receipt?

You renewed your 14Dayz subscription every month through our payment provider Pay Pal in Luxembourg. All payment transactions including confirmation of a monthly payment take place by Pay Pal Luxemburg, VAT for intra-Community transactions not included.

If you wish to receive a monthly receipt of your payment for your administration you can select this option in your PayPal account: Login to your PayPal account, then select the profile tab. Under account settings > click notifications. Under Payment Notifications mark the checkbox after “I make a scheduled subscription payment” Now you will receive a payment confirmation from PayPal every month.

What if I have a complaint about payments?

Canceling

Can I cancel at any time if I please so?
Absolutely. If you don't like our service or if it does not provide any value for you anymore you can de-activate all your projects and even downgrade to the free version and keep your data. Or you can cancel your License and all your data will be removed from the system and your account terminated. You will not be billed again.
How can I cancel my subscription on 14Dayz?

We would be sorry to see you go, but if you like nevertheless you're able to export all your data as an XML file:

  1. Log into 14Dayz
  2. Go to the main menu
  3. Choose Export all data from the right sidebar
  4. Click the button marked: "Export all data>>" Depending of the amount of data in your account, this could take a while to process
  5. Save the resulting file on disk

Once you saved your data you can cancel your account with the following instructions. Only the team owner (the person who signed up for the account) is able to cancel the account:

  1. Go to your 14Dayz account and log in with your user name
  2. Once you logged into your 14Dayz, on the main menu in the bottom right click on Plan -> Change
  3. This will get you to the license page. Find the link that says: [Cancel your subscription] and click it.
  4. A warning will appear, click OK to accept it. You'll be taken to PayPal
  5. Sign in to PayPal and cancel your payment for the 14Dayz subscription.

If you follow these instructions all your data will be deleted and you will not be charged again.
